Jesh Yancey

Jesh Yancey is a folk singer and songwriter based out of Denver, Colorado. Yancey moved to Denver in 2019 with his wife Miranda from Mobile, AL where he got started playing Music with intention and as a career. With a full-length album and an EP under his belt Jesh Yancey got to work along the Front Range at every brewery, venue and house party he could find in order to get his Music in front of as many people as possible. Yancey created a world of his own when it comes to songwriting as demonstrated on his first two releases, Livers & Diers and Maybe It’s The Drugs.

After moving to Denver, Colorado from Mobile, AL in 2019, Yancey had to start over completely in the new and much larger Music scene. It took some time and some personnel changes but, with some perseverance and some luck, Jesh found all the Musicians he needed to continue pushing his brand of Music he calls PsycheDeltaFolk which is a natural blend of Psychedelic Rock, Delta Blues and American Folk Music.

In the Fall of 2022 the new version of Jesh Yancey & The High Hopes which is Teo Vanovski on drums, Mike Davidov on bass, Joseph Mallonee on percussion, Ben Lacy on guitar and sometimes Paul Capoulos on keys, set out to record Yancey’s next release, Screaming Into The Darkness, which will be available in 2023. “It’s all just Rock’n’Roll” says Yancey. And his band, Jesh Yancey & The High Hopes, is exactly that.
