Lid Dixon

In case you need catching up, Lid Dixon moved to Fort Collins in 2021 and was in a musical hiatus. FoCoMX 2021 inspired him to record a few original tunes, and then he released 2 EPs over a couple years, became a DJ at KRFC 88.9 FM, produced a live series called NoCo Sings NoCo, and a holiday compilation record entitled "NoCo Sings the Holidays." You can say he's enjoying the music community in Northern Colorado.

In March of 2026, Lid Dixon will release his third collection of studio recordings entitled, "Postcards from Baton Rouge."  The EP contains 5 original songs that are notably different than his last two records (Parlor Trick and Rodeo Clown). When asked about the shift toward a more "punky" Americana sound Dixon says, "I'm not sure how that happened.  I guess I'm just playing more with a band -- drums, electric guitars. I think I finally played more than 20 shows with a band in my life.  And, I feel like I'm singing different too -- I'm just letting whatever happens happen."

The record was produced by Lid Dixon, the players are the regular suspects in the Lid Dixon live show, and the songs have been worked out in various set list.  A perfect fit for the Honey Thief Studios approach to recording music.
