Edison
Edison is a Colorado trio whose sound has taken a departure from its folk roots into cinematic alt-pop. Comprised of Sarah Slaton (lead vocals, guitar), Maxwell Hughes (guitar), and Dustin Morris (keys, trumpet, mandolin, drums), the band first made waves between 2014–2018 with relentless touring, a deal with Rhyme & Reason Records, and support slots for Nathaniel Rateliff, Iron & Wine, Young the Giant, and Andrew McMahon. During that period, Edison also earned press in NPR, Consequence of Sound, Paste Magazine, and played residencies at Hotel Cafe in LA and Pianos in NYC, and performed at Red Rocks in Colorado.
After a brief hiatus, Edison reunited for a 10-year anniversary show at FOCOMX Festival in 2024 and began writing again. Their forthcoming EP was recorded at a cabin in the Rocky Mountains and finished at Blasting Room Studios with Chris Beeble. The seven-track collection due mid-2026—kicks off with the single Million Horses — a cinematic anthem about a world moving too fast and the longing to slow it all down.
Still best friends after all these years, Edison continues to push the boundaries of their music while keeping the heart of their live performance alive
