Lois and the Lantern

On a dusty dead-end road just outside of city limits, a group of women met monthly to escape the world and find sisterhood through music . From one of those gatherings came forth Lois and the Lantern, an all-woman string band with intentions of celebration and connection. Since 2014 Lois and the Lantern has defied the conventions of traditional folk and bluegrass, leaning into new sonic territories, teasing out elements of Punk, Soul, Rock, and Jam. Infused with an infectious energy, inventive songwriting, and enchanting vocal harmonies, Lois and the Lantern brings a fresh perspective to the string band tradition, making them a standout in the vibrant music scene of Fort Collins and the Front Range. Lois is recording an EP of new songs to be released in Spring 2024. Their full-length studio album Sounds Like Livin' came out in late 2021, and their debut EP Secret Compound was released in 2018.
