Grant Sabin and the Juke Joint Highball

Grant Sabin is unquestionably one of the hardest working musicians around, playing with abandon at large and small venues throughout Colorado and beyond. As a solo artist Grant has captivated audiences for years with his raw voice, intense stage presence, and one-man band approach to creating music with slide guitar, harmonica, and stomp box. As a band leader, Grant turns the volume up to 11.

eddie turner & trouble

Born in Cuba and raised in Chicago, Eddie "Devil Boy" Turner first picked up a guitar at the age of 12. He honed his craft growing up in Chicago, and later Colorado, and his music shows the diverse influences of the Afro-Cuban sounds of his homeland and the deep blues of his adopted country. A diverse blend of rock, voodoo blues and R&B peppered with African rhythms, Turner's music moves the feet while simultaneously haunting the soul. In 1974 Eddie played with Grammy-nominee Tracy Nelson and Mother Earth, followed by stints with Zephyr and the Legendary 4-nikators.

Category 6

Like some relationships, Jazz/Rock Fusion is complicated, which may be why few bands attempt it. Category 6 is full-on fusion, mastering difficult time signatures and scales, creating a powerful sound worthy to be named for a yet-to-be-classified storm - but you know it’s coming.

Bourbon Brass Band

BOURBON BRASS BAND is an ensemble of horns & drums, playing street trad jazz, in the traditional New Orleans "second line" style.  Led by NOLA-transplant Trombone Ethan, the BBB has a deep respect for the trad style, staying true to this "roots-of-the-roots" authentic American music.

The revelry of BBB is further amplified by the band's dancers, better known as THE INSTIGATORS, who add both flair and glamour to the celebration.  Yes indeed, the BOURBON BRASS BAND is truly a dynamic and free-wheeling spectacle, ready to parade.

Big Dan & the Contraband

Big Dan & the Contraband was formed, almost accidentally, by veteran blues players who have been rubbing shoulders in the area's muisc scene for years now. All of the members (Daniel Barreras - harmonica, John Kellogg - guitar, Tim Obert - drums, Tony Russell - keyboards, James Paul - bass) had been in other musical projects, but realized that something new and great-sounding could be realized by joining together.
