Johnny & the Mongrels

Johnny & The Mongrels is a Colorado/Louisiana-based project that draws upon a variety of musical influences, whose sound has been described as "Swamp Funk & Bayou Soul." “Mongrels music” is highly influenced by the grooves and feel of New Orleans, but the songs tell stories as well, as they are sung and played from the heart, giving them a depth and authenticity all their own.

Earl Nelson & The Company

Earl Nelson & the Company have emerged to create a funky blend of Mississippi delta blues, Mo-town soul, and bluegrass country. The band infuses blues banjo, jazz keys, funky basslines, and heavy percussion to back Earl's gritty vocals and slide guitar. With a large helping of gospel blues riffs and New Orleans piano solos, their live sound turns any stage into an old-fashioned juke joint. Main influences: Taj Mahal, The Band, Canned Heat, Snooks Eaglin, Bonnie Raitt, Ry Cooder, Link Wray, The Allman Brothers.

lil piñon

lil piñon is the nom de guerre and solo project of Joshua Randy Abeyta, a
singer-songwriter and lyricist born and raised in Denver, CO. lil piñon’s sound
grew from a garden bed of poetry and conscious hip-hop, sown with the seeds of
rock n’ roll, soul, 90’s alternative, punk and folk, watered with hyper-empathy for
the human experience, and harvested with one open hand and one closed fist.

Hermit Commune

Hermit Commune plays bluesy psychedelic rock with a strong ear for melody, texture, and feel. The songs drift and build, balancing warm guitar lines and hazy tones with grooves that keep things moving. There’s a loose, jam-friendly spirit to the music, but the focus stays on memorable melodies and the way the parts fit together. After a five-year break — with members living in different states for a while— the band recently reunited and quickly fell back into an easy, natural chemistry. Hermit Commune sounds like friends back in a room together, doing what they missed.

Porch Talk

Converging in Fort Collins, Porch Talk is a group of friendly transplants that have grown up and traveled coast to coast to hang out in the now! Bringing together a multitude of life experiences, influences, jokes, and styles to create a unified sound, the foundation of Porch Talk is built on having fun and loving to create. As a four piece unit, the group consists of Timmy (Guitar/Vocals), Zane (Guitar/Vocals), Kevin (Drums), and John (Bass/Mandolin/Vocals).

Instruments of Crime

Perhaps once in a generation, a band comes along that is so brilliant, so iconic, so revolutionary, that they define a new era of music.

This is not that band.

Instruments of Crime is just three jaded fucks hanging out in a basement, cranking out noisy, sloppy stoner rock for the hell of it.

Pity Laugh

Pity Laugh is a Denver-based blend of shoegaze, grungegaze, post-punk, and post-hardcore—loud, hazy, and emotionally wired. The band began as a side project for Devon Hildebrandt and Taylor Drose of indie rock outfit Silver & Gold, a place to chase the heavier sounds that first pulled them into music as kids. The project took shape quickly with the addition of Katherine Vaughan of Anterrior and Evan Zeller of Overslept, rounding out a lineup that hits with weight and atmosphere in equal measure.
