Some songs Carson Block writes are better served naked on a simple acoustic platter. Carson has been writing and performing in Fort Collins' own Cool Hand Juke for 16+ years, bringing vocal energy to CHJ's thunderous, funky and soulful groove. He also loves other musical styles and composes in the tradition of his inspirations Lyle Lovett, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Los Lobos, Sturgill Simpson, Mavis Staples, Steve Earle, and his 93-year-old mum Patsy Block, who has the best voice in the world.
