iies. (pronounced "eyes") is a visionary collective emerging from Denver, CO, that transcends traditional musical boundaries with their groundbreaking style called: "Experimental Jazz Rap." Composed of Craig Northup II (lead vocals), Aidan Roberts (guitar), and Jacob Montano (bass), iies. has roots in the improvisational jazz, blues, and hip-hop scenes of Denver. The group has evolved into a powerhouse of creativity, delivering a sound that defies categorization and leaves audiences captivated awaiting their much anticipated new EP set to release in spring.

Drummer with The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, a working 18-piece traditional 5/4/4/4 big band playing Swing-Era dance music.  I also enjoy Latin small combo jazz, salsa, latin jazz, funk, fusion, and acid jazz.  Anything in the Real Books.Anything

I'm especially interested in working with a horn band covering Chicago, Tower of Power, Blood Sweat and Tears, Earth Wind and Fire, etc.  Also open to small club, small combo work.

Better Days Ahead

Better Days Ahead is a project dedicated to celebrating the music of Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays. The group features seasoned jazz musicians: Tim Gauthier on guitar, Chuck Landgraf on drums, Alan Sparks on bass, and Randy Miotke on keyboards. The band was formed after a jam session where the members found themselves immersed in the high-energy music of these two influential and beloved jazz artists. The name Better Days Ahead is inspired by the title of one of Pat Metheny’s most uplifting and brilliant compositions, which is a highlight of the group’s repertoire.

Alex Nauman Trio

Alex has been been a regular player throughout the Rocky Mountain Gig circuit and an integral member of a long list of eclectic groups even before he could drive himself to gigs. Playing everything from straight-ahead Jazz, Bop, Funk, R&B, Soul, Rock, Hip-Hop, Big-Band Swing, Acoustic Bluegrass, Avant Garde Experimental, and even a little country, its easy to see why Alex is considered one of the most talented & versatile Musicians around. 

Chase Street Jam

Lively and somewhat saucy, we are a fun, upbeat jazz ensemble that's all about entertainment.

Members are Adam Holcomb (trumpet), Jaik Hakkarinen (drum set), Claire Lucas (vocals), Jill Olivar-Hakkarinen (tenor sax), Craig Abramson (piano), and James Middleton (bass), their sound grooves in the improvisation and interpretation of the roots of jazz.

Dan Buller Band

Dan Buller band is a jazz band hailing from Denver, co. Dan holds a Master's Degree in Jazz guitar performance and has ample experience playing Jazz, Bebop, Gypsy Jazz, and New Orleans styles. His band is an amalgamation of these styles creating a unique sounding band that takes influence from several different jazz idioms.

skozi.b

skozi.b is the solo project of Jacob Hoeffner, bassist of Ms. Nomer, Carlie Anne, Swamp Candle, and Zoe Berman. Best grouped into the Nu Jazz genre, the material for the project was written on a bass guitar and vintage electric keyboards in Jacob’s apartment in Denver, CO. A years worth of writing in 2023 culminated in a 17 track “sentimental beat tape” titled Wind Chimes in Traffic, which was released on January 5, 2024. Inspired by childhood themes, skozi.b uses nostalgic samples (video games, field recordings) that complement the syncopated rhythms and driving bass lines.
