With the addition of funk driven electric bass and bluesy acoustic guitar leads, Josh's folky nature inspired songs are elevated to another level of fun. The band also rips through a lot of familiar bluegrass and classic rock covers, making for a diverse repertoire of songs and styles.

Monocle Band

A story teller steeped in psychedelic realism meets a songstress of crystalline purity, and a creative partnership is born. Monocle Band is a refreshing sound in the vibrant landscape of Colorado Americana. ....................... The angelic voice of a Colorado choir girl turned earthy roots songstress. The gritty stories of an intellectual outlaw who has found a home in folk music. The pulse and flow of a seasoned five-piece band that can turn from yearning country ballad to electrified rock soundscape to stomping bluegrass romp in the drop of a downbeat. This is the sound of Monocle Band.

Mike Yob Solo

Hello, I'm Mike, nice to meet you. You can call me Yob if you want to. I have been playing and performing music since the fourth grade (shout out to Lesher and FCHS music programs!). I started writing and playing bluegrass music at age 22 and spent 5 years of fun with legendary Steamboat Springs band “The Brew Glass Boys” learning the ins and outs of bluegrass and sharpening my chops. Since returning to FC in the mid 00’s I have mainly performed solo, while expanding in to other genres and putting more focus on songwriting.

Mihaly

Hi there! My name is Anthony and boy to I love music, how about you? Isn't it just the best when you think about it. ahhhh... Mihaly has been many different things and I'm sure that it will be many more things in the future, for right now it is about movement, fellowship, collective grief and collective joy. The project that I have been working on includes a tape deck, fm radio, cd's, synths and live drums, all played by yours truly, no loops. I hope that you have time to share in this with me! See ya soon! -Anthony

Matt Mahern and Constitution

It’s Matt Mahern and Constitution‘s ‘devil may care’ ease that makes crowds kick off their shoes and let loose. But it’s their warmth, honesty, and mastery of the Americana genre that pulls listeners in and keeps them there. Their sound draws from quintessential American traditions – country, folk, and rock – with a heavy dose of bluegrass to drive the point home.

Many Mountains

Katie Rose Nelson and Dustin Moran form the folk-rock duo Many Mountains. Their music threads together influences from all types of American roots music and storytelling into a unique and immersive sonic tapestry full of vocal harmony and lush guitar interplay.

Magnolia String Band

Formed in 2013, the Magnolia String Band found themselves in a basement on Magnolia Street in west Fort Collins looking for a new take on songs they grew up listening to and enjoyed playing. Band members had been a part of the Fort Collins music scene through various rock groups but were drawn to the simplicity of the string band instrumentation. MSB applies that traditional string band sound to artists including The Band, Richard Thompson, Little Feat, JJ Cale, The Grateful Dead (of course) and those artist influences can be heard in MSB original songs as well.
