Earl Nelson & the Company

Earl Nelson & the Company have emerged from Golden, Colorado to revitalize Americana Blues music. Influenced by everything from early hill country blues & bluegrass to the groovy era of country funk, the music behaves without genre boundaries. The band merges heavy basslines, killer country guitar, rolling banjo, swinging drums, with vintage piano & organ to back Earl's gritty vocals and slide guitar. Earl's writing is heavily inspired by a passion for labor rights & his early career as a welder.

John McKay Band

As the band-all stars- perform and compliment like a road tested brotherhood, John’s guitar is a force of its own: killer tone, attitude, melodic invention, and an organic instinct for rhythm. Many colors, but it’s all John. Just listen to the solo on ’Phineas Gage’! His guitar smolders through the mix with jam-band abandon. And again, in ‘Weddings and Funderals’, with harmonic agility and pristine expression, his soloing serves to enhance and illuminate the song’s emotion. CD review from Tor Snyder
